EN50155 certified fanless Train Management Computer
Kontron TRACe M304-TR is an EN50155 certified fanless Operational Computer. This “M” version is a specifically designed for Train Management. The M304-TR version is based on a COMExpress© CPU module featuring Intel® Atom E3845 quad-core @ 1.91 GHz (Bay Trail). It has been designed to ensure stable operation in harsh environments. Offering MVB and ethernet field busses, Kontron TRACe M304-TR is the ideal building block for any Train Control Monitoring System:
Kontron TRACe M304-TR allows communication between equipment in each coach, monitoring doors, air conditioning, seat reservation, light, power, brakes, … its MVB (Class 1 up to Class 4) interface features process data, message data (opt), bus administrator and EMD (opt ESD+) physical interfaces.
Kontron TRACe M304-TR offers 2 independent Gigabit ethernet LAN through isolated and lockable M12 connectors. Then TRACe M304-TR can be used as an Ethernet-MVB gateway.
Moreover, TRACe M304-TR features 1x WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi network interface.

Aside from 2 Gigabit fiber optic/copper combo ports, the EKI-7626C comes equipped with 16 x 10/100Base-TX fast Ethernet ports. Traditional RJ-45 ports can be used for uplinking wide-band paths in short distance(< 100m), or the appropriate replaceable SFP module can be used for the application of wide band uploading and long distance transmissions to fit the field request flexibly. Also, the long MTBF (Mean Time Betwen Failures) ensures that the EKI-7626C wii continue to operate until a Gigabit network infrastructure has been established, without requiring any extra upgrade costs. EKI-7626C includes a switch controller that can automatically sense transmission speeds (10/100 Mbps) The RJ-45 interface can also be auto-detected, so MDI or MDI-X is automatically selected and a cross-over cable is not required. All Ethernet ports have memory buffers that support the store-and -forward mechanism, which assures that data can be transmitted properly. Furthemore, the power line of EKI-7626C supports up to 3,000 VDC surge(EFT) protection, which secure equipment against unregulated voltage and make systems safer and more reliable.
